About Docmind

AI should help you think, not ask for blind trust

We built Docmind for people whose work depends on getting the facts right — and being able to prove it.

Our story

Great answers were buried in documents nobody had time to read.

Reports, papers, recorded talks, saved articles — most of what we need to know is already written down somewhere. The problem is finding the right sentence at the right moment.

AI chat assistants promised to help, but they answer with the same confidence whether they're quoting your document or improvising. For students, analysts, lawyers and product teams, an unverifiable answer is worse than no answer at all.

Docmind takes a different approach: bring your own sources, and get answers that are grounded in them, cited to them, and honest about what they don't cover.

Principles

What we refuse to compromise on

Grounded by default

An answer is only as good as its evidence. Docmind answers from your sources and nothing else — and says so when they fall short.

Show the work

Trust comes from verification, not confidence. Every claim carries a citation you can open and check.

Your data is yours

Sources are used to answer your questions, nothing more. They're never used to train models, and teams can self-host.

Calm, focused tools

Research is hard enough. We design for clarity: fewer buttons, sensible defaults and nothing that gets in the way of reading.

Technology

Built on proven, open infrastructure

Docmind runs on a modern, self-hostable stack — so the same pipeline that powers our cloud can run inside your network.
